Executive Director, Corporate Relations
Theresa Menk oversees corporate relations for the Danforth Campus. Ms. Menk began working at Washington University in St. Louis in August of 2009 as the Director of Foundation Relations. She was promoted to her current position in September 2014. She is responsible for managing four professional staff members, as well as philanthropic relationships with top corporate partners.
Ms. Menk previously spent ten years working for Epworth Children & Family Services, a St. Louis-based non-profit organization dedicated to helping children, youth and families. As the Chief Development Officer, she led her team to successfully complete a major capital campaign, engaging the support of individuals, foundations and corporations. Other previous experience includes five years as the Director of the International Trade Center at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where she successfully assisted companies with their export plans, paired students with companies for senior projects and secured federal grants in support of the Center. She began her career at McDonnell Douglas Corporation (now The Boeing Company). She was promoted multiple times, serving as a Financial Analyst, a Contract & Pricing Analyst and as Senior Strategic Analyst. Ms. Menk earned a bachelor’s of science degree in business from Eastern Illinois University and is in the process of completing her master’s degree in international affairs at Washington University in St. Louis.
