Dr. Husain Lateef joined the faculty at Washington University as an Assistant Professor of the Brown School in 2019. His research focuses on culturally-grounded approaches to improve youth prevention and intervention efforts that promote indicators of well-being and health among Young Black Males. His current scholarship examines the relationship between African-centered orientation, cultural socialization, cultural heritage, and indicators of positive youth development and premature death risk among young black males.
