Senior Director, Foundation Relations, Danforth Campus
Anne Stengle joined the Washington University Foundation Relations team in June, 2016. She manages all aspects of the department including a staff of three front-line fundraisers and an assistant director. Her fundraising work includes a portfolio of high level foundations with a focus on campus-wide initiatives and the Brown School. Anne has 25 years of experience working in higher education with the majority spent in fundraising from foundations, corporations and governmental agencies. Prior to joining Washington University, she served as the Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations at Denison University in Ohio, and the Assistant Director of Grants at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in New York State. For over a decade, she was the Assistant Director and Director of Outreach for the South Asia Program, a US Department of Education-funded National Resource Center, at Cornell University. She began her career in the Department of Health and Human Services at The Pew Charitable Trusts.
